Lemur Licensing works with our clients to expand the power of their brands into marketable and high quality products, that help build their brands and generate revenue through licensing. We provide unmatched client service and interaction throughout the licensing process.
Lemur Licensing, established in June 2003, with a focus on the brand-owner’s perspective, continues today to provide licensing industry leadership and personal attention for our clients. Lemur Licensing is led by John Merrick,
who combines his expertise in licensing, brand management and retail gained from The Coca-Cola Company, Home Depot and R.H. Macy’s.
John, as leader of the worldwide licensing program for the Coca-Cola Company, grew the business from its infancy to $1 billion. He applied his three-fold expertise to the development of an array of Coca-Cola merchandise throughout the world, Everything Coca-Cola retail stores, event merchandising with NASCAR, Olympics, and World Cup; and dual-licensing with NHL, NBA and NFL, while establishing a breakthrough strategy of 48 hour product approval, allowing licensees to get products to market quicker.
At Home Depot, John established the first licensing program for a national retail brand. He initiated and led the development of the brand positioning and integrated marketing strategy for the Home Depot brand, which led to the “You Can Do It. We Can Help.” advertising campaign.
Playing a key role in the development of the Charter Club brand, one of Macy’s most successful proprietary brands, launched John’s passion for branding and product development. John, a founding member of the World Wide Licensing Exposition in London, has been a featured speaker at the The Licensing Show and the HFN CEO Summit. |
